The Blind and Sight Impaired Society (BASIS) was set up to assist people with sight loss to live independently whilst maintaining a good quality of life. This includes people with an acquired sight impairment, be it temporary or long term and those who have experienced a lifetime of sight loss. We also aim to raise the profile of visual impairment in the wider community.

A resource centre and home visiting scheme for those who can't visit the centre is available.

Fantastic staff and so, so friendly with lots of knowledge!! Met one sight impaired volunteer and he was amazing too! (This was the first time I visited the centre!) Cannot wait to start taking my dad to regular groups and activities and get him meeting these amazing people !
