Organisation details

An independent charity supporting blind and partially sighted people. Services:
- advice information & support
- home visiting
: three minibuses for the members for, theatre trips, holidays, days out centre for various activities
- chair based exersise
- dominoes
- young persons support group
- monthly macular meetings
- IT training
- social club three days a week
- lunch club

The Widnes section of the Society meet on Tuesdays at Vine Street for their activities. They have their own programme of outings.

The Warrington Cassette supply the local newspaper and magazines on tape to our members. We are agents for Wireless for the Blind and we have a small, well-stocked resource centre.

We offer a home visiting service and our visitors provide contact and assistance. We also have an information and advice desk in the Ophthalmic Department of the local Warrington Hospital and this gives useful support to those who are at the point of registration.
