A user-led organisation which aims to organise and manage activities which can improve the health and social lives of blind and visually impaired people living in Kirklees. Its focus has been on providing services around using specialist equipment technology to maximise independence and improve quality of life.
Provides assistive technology demonstrations and one to one support and training by arrangement at our Centre in Huddersfield or other community venues across Kirklees Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.
Other projects and activities include:
- GPS Peer Mobility Orientation Project: evaluating the use of specially designed GPS technology that can be used to maintain confidence and independence for people subject to sight loss

- Digitising personal information stored on tape
- Try IT Out (Inclusive Technology): hands-on demonstrations of access technology
