Leeds Hearing & Sight Loss Service provides comprehensive specialist support
services for Leeds residents aged 16+ who are sight impaired, severely sight impaired, deaf, hard of hearing or deafblind including:
Information, advice and guidance
Assessment and Support
Deafblind Communicator Guides
Equipment and assistive technology
Employment advice and support
Hospital based Eye Clinic Liaison Service
NHS Hearing aid maintenance
Access to local social groups.
Leeds Hearing & Sight Loss Service is delivered by BID Services in partnership with Feel Good Factor & Association of Blind Asians, on behalf of Leeds City Council.
Mental health support services for people with sensory impairments are also provided as part of the Live Well Leeds partnership.
Weekly Youth Club for 8-18 year olds. Also held in school holidays. Activities include bowling, trampolining, tennis, day trips and games.\
